First Method. 

If the Samsung Galaxy E5 menu is still accessible, you can follow the first method.
  1. Battery must fully charged, at least has 80% of battery capacity.
  2. Turn On Samsung Galaxy E5
  3. Then, go to the apps drawer.

  6. Then release all button if you see Android logo appear on screen.
  7. Wait a minute until Samsung Galaxy E5  enter Android System Recovery.
  8. On this screen can you do the following step
    • Use Volume UP and Volume Down to navigate and highlight menu.
    • Use Power Button to confirm your selections.
  9. Now, Now highlight wipe data/factory reset.
  10. Then highlight and select yes -- delete all user data.
  11. Now, wait a minute until data wipe process is complete.
