Guide | How to Upgrade and Flash Firmware Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen).

Supported with 1 GB of RAM, combined with 8 MP on primary camera, and 2 MP on secondary camera. Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen). run on Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat), upgradable to v5.0 (Lollipop), planned upgrade to v6.0 (Marshmallow).

Initial Step.

  1. We recommend to backup all data, file, accounts saved on phone memory before flashing Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) device. Because it will be deleted during flashing process.
  2. Make sure to keep your battery fully charged, in order to to get successfully flashing process.

Flashing Step

  1. The first time you need boots the Android Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) device to Fastboot mode. How to do it?
    • Power off the Android Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) device, by press and hold the power button for a second, it will completely turn off the device.
    • Now, press and hold both volumes down + volume up button.
  2. Then, connect the Android Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) device to the computer via USB cable.
  3. Make sure your Android Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen). the device successfully detected on your computer via Fastboot mode.

  8. Firmware file should has this extensions  (*.sbf, *.xml, *.hs, , *.shx, , etc)
  9. Once your Android Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) firmware successfully loaded, RSD lite flash tool should look like the picture shown below.
