How to Flash Official TWRP Recovery and Safely Root Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen.

  9. Put all files downloaded files above at the same folder. for example C:\Flash
  10. Now, enable developer options on your Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen. (Go to Settings - Tap 7 times at build number until you see you are now a developer.)
  11. Then, enable OEM unlocking.
  12. Enable USB debugging.
  13. Now turn off Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen.
  14. Then enter Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen to fastboot mode. (Press and hold Power Button + Volume Down).

  15. Now, connect Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen to the computer via USB cable.
  16. Then open the command prompt at this folder (C:\Flash), how to do it.
    • Press and hold the shift key on the keyboard.
    • Then right click on empty space - select open command window here.
  17. To check whether ADB or fastboot working between the computer and your phone, you can type the following command at prompt. The result should return with list of devices attached

  18. Then, the type the following command below to flash TWRP recovery 
    • fastboot flash recovery recovery name.img
    • Change recovery name with the recovery name you just download at step 4 above, for example.
      • fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-taido.img
  19. Now type the following command below to boot Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen to recovery mode.
    • fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2-0-taido.img
  20. Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen will reboot into recovery mode now.
  21. Boot your Motorola Moto E3 / Moto E 3rd Gen to the system. to load Android operating system and normal boot.
